8th Grade: Flearn 3 (Save Bubba)
Save Bubba Tower Build Video : Click here
You are to create a tower that is less than 15 grams in weight out of balsa wood that will fit all the way through a 2 inch by 2 inch gauge and be between 6 to 10 inches tall.  You must also design and build an ejection system for Bubba (a ping pong ball) that successfully ejects Bubba to safety WHEN the tower collapses.  The goal is to create a tower that will hold 100 lbs, and when more weight is added that Bubba is ejected to safety.  The tower will be placed on the tower breaker (mwahahaha... er um.. sorry) and have four 25 lb weights added, then smaller weights can be used.

I highly recommend you watch how to layout and build the tower in the build video.   No details on how to make a ejection system is included, as you need to come up with your own idea. The weight of the ejection system and Bubba are not part of the 15 grams.

One more condition, you can in no way interact with bubba or the tower once it is placed on the tower breaker.  (no strings attached that you can pull or anything like that.)

See your workbook for more details and to record your data.
