This Flearn is where you will build a dragster that will be shot with compressed air and its speed will be measured. You will compete with others for the fastest car. The goal of this unit is for you to understand and actually see how Newton's Second Law of Motion actually works and understand the concept for F = M x A (Force equals mass times acceleration) and how each of these variables interact.
You and your team (max 3 people) will need to research, design, make a foam prototype, then be given a dragster kits that you can modify, shape and prepare for racing. Your team will then test the dragsters and then redesign. Then we will race in a double elimination tournament. Once done we take our collected data and you get to see something very cool.
